Their signature breakfast is available for nationwide delivery from TODAY

Chuck away those Cornflakes and get rid of that granola, because much-loved Irani café/Indian restaurant chain Dishoom have finally worked out how they can get their number-one breakfast item to you at home.

The team have been busy in the café kitchens perfecting the dough recipe and the at-home cookery method to ensure first-rate results without the need for a big hot clay oven – so lucky recipients will feel like expert tandoor chefs, in minutes.

The kit comes with full cookery instructions, including the method for achieving pillowy-soft naan perfection at home

Patrons both near and far can now enjoy this much-missed café classic in the comfort of their own kitchens. The kits, lovingly prepared by Dishoom’s big-hearted team of chef-wallas, can now be Dishoomed to doors across the UK, with all the ingredients required to make two first-class Bacon Naan Rolls. The kits also come with something to wash it down with as you get all the tea and spices for to create batch of masala chai.

The bacon naan has been a hit at Dishoom since day one

What’s more, for every Bacon Naan Roll Kit sold nationwide, Dishoom will donate a meal to Magic Breakfast, their long-term charity partner that provides free, nutritious meals to children that might otherwise go hungry.

Customers can purchase their kits for nominated day delivery up to a month in advance, via the Dishoom online store. Only a limited number of these will be available each day – so it’s fastest fingers first.

Like everything from Dishoom, the cookery kit features top-class produce prepared by Dishoom’s chef-wallas. Each kit contains smoked streaky bacon from Ramsay of Carluke (matured in the traditional Ayrshire way and smoked over applewood and beechwood chips), three naan doughballs (enough for two plus a spare for good luck…or a fried egg), tomato-chilli jam (Dishoom’s sweet, sharp, spicy signature sauce), fresh coriander and cream cheese.

Each kit also contains loose leaf Darjeeling tea and chai spices (black peppercorns, cardamom pods, cinnamon stick, cloves, fresh ginger) for recreating Dishoom’s much-loved masala chai (just add milk and sugar to brew).

The kit comes with full cookery instructions, including the method for achieving pillowy-soft naan perfection at home – a handy video to help first-timers is also available online.

The Bacon Naan Roll Kit is one of many means of enjoying Dishoom at home, with their online store offering all sorts of little gifts for lucky recipients across the UK. For the first time ever, customers can now get their hands on the cafés much-loved Dishoom coins – minted at the consent of her Majesty’s Treasury. Each coin can be used to settle all or part of the bearer’s bill at any Dishoom, making them a perfect no-expiry-date gift for when the cafés can warmly welcome guests once more. (Plans and particulars on the reopening of Dishoom Manchester will be forthcoming in due course).
